April McClain Delaney aims to foster economic growth across Maryland’s 6th District, aligned with the worker- and community-focused industrial policies of the Biden-Harris administration. 

April is a strong advocate for policies that uplift workers and support families:

  • Supports the PRO Act and the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act and will co-sponsor legislation.
  • Opposes efforts to weaken or repeal the Service Contract Act. Supports the Davis-Bacon Act and opposes any efforts to weaken or repeal it.
  • Opposes federal pay freezes, privatization, and at-will employment for federal employees.
    Opposes efforts to weaken or defund the regulatory and enforcement programs of OSHA and MSHA.
  • Seeks to expand on the Infrastructure and Jobs Act to include the creation of sustainable infrastructure, mobility, and manufacturing systems. 
  • Would endorse AI legislation that protects workers’ rights to organize and bargain with their employers around AI tech in the workplace. 
  • Opposes tax giveaways for the wealthy and connected, and supports middle-class tax relief.
    Support corporate bankruptcy reform to protect workers’ pensions and protect them from excess risk taking.
  • Will work to enhance technological innovation that promotes economic growth, creates long-lasting, good-paying union jobs, and enhances community resources.
  • Strongly supports Buy America policies to boost domestic production and jobs.
